Welcome to Flowuse. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring a safe digital environment for you and your children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

To provide our parental control and educational features, we collect the following types of information:

  • Account Information: When an adult (Admin) creates an account, we collect an email address and a secure, hashed password for authentication and account recovery purposes.
  • Child Profile Data: Admins can create profiles for their children. We do not require or collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as the child's real name, date of birth, or physical address.
  • Activity & Usage Data: To provide accurate statistics to the Admin, the app records video viewing history (videos watched) and educational quiz results (questions answered correctly or incorrectly).

2. How We Use Your Information

The data we collect is strictly used to operate, maintain, and improve the Flowuse app. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Authenticate Admin accounts and secure profile access.
  • Generate daily performance charts, topic mastery breakdowns, and live activity tracking for the Admin Dashboard.
  • Customize the educational quizzes based on the parent's configuration.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on carefully selected third-party services to deliver core functionalities. These services are bound by their own privacy policies:

  • OpenRouter (AI Generation): We use OpenRouter to generate educational questions. We only send generic prompts to this service; no personal user data or child information is shared with the AI.
  • Wortise (Advertising): To keep the app accessible, we use Wortise to display advertisements exclusively within the Admin (Parent) Dashboard. Wortise may collect non-personal device data to serve ads. Ads are strictly hidden from the child's video player interface.

4. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

Flowuse is built as a parental control tool. The application is intended to be configured by parents or legal guardians. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13. All data related to child profiles is provided and managed entirely by the authenticated adult Admin. If you believe we might have any personal information directly from a child without parental consent, please contact us so we can delete that information immediately.

5. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data. All communications between the app and our servers are encrypted. Admin passwords are cryptographically hashed (BCRYPT), and our database uses strict protocols to prevent unauthorized access.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
